After many years in the planning, we are immensely pleased to announce that Nottingham Brewery has concluded a handover deal which will see the brewery under new management. Rather than Champagne corks being popped, a few bottles of EPA were consumed on the 1st of August as part of the official ceremony, with relieved and smiling faces all around.
The whole team are still in place and are keen to get stuck into moving the brewery forward after this long process. I too shall remain in place, although with a reduced role, one eye being on my future retirement - no doubt to the delight of the aforementioned team! Local businessman Richard Whittaker, Nottingham born and bred and long-time advocate of our beer, has taken over my duties and will become the fresh new face of the brewery, even if not as good-looking as me!
The brewing team are enthusiastic about developing exciting new beers which will feature in events such as the CAMRA IPA hop. All the beers we have brewed in the last twelve months, both old favourites and new releases, will be available at the forthcoming Robin Hood Beer Festival, so we will see you there in October.
The Plough brewery tap will soon get its long deserved face lift, ensuring that all of those quality beers will be available year round, with one or two special offers and discounts planned.
Until next time, cheers!
