Wednesday was Siba BeerX UK in Liverpool the National Beer Exhibition, this is the biggest Brewing and trade event in the UK, our Rock Mild was there to compete- we're not sure if it's won any awards yet but it was certainly nice to have a taste of home.
Richard, Philip and Gareth all went along from the Brewery with Richard meeting contacts old and new to ready for the transition for the new look Nottingham Brewery. They saw some very interesting trade stands offering everything from glassware to major brewing equipment, with a view to moving the Brewery forward, especially in the direct delivery sector. it was great to see innovative packaging companies exhibiting and gave us some good ideas for sending our products further afield. 25% of UK independent products now go directly to the end user. Philp says "We currently are just over 10%, so it's definitley an area we are keen to develop."
